If you include line numbers and syntax coloring for php and html, I will use it! I'll take a look at the current one right now and report back

EDIT: I would prefer If It didn't have a splash screen, or maybe one every 15 bootups. Also, It would be nice if it added an option to the context menu to open your html files in it, but that's not necessary

ive been looking into the syntax highlighting, actually, its not too hard to hard to implement, but the line numbers, well, thats a little trickier, but believe me, ill try it

and ive already started working on the open recent files feature

edit:
i just realized what you meant by context menu, i have been working on that since I first wrote it, im just not sure how to implement it, as soon as i figure it out though, you will be the first to know

I don't think that's a programming thing but rather adding a regkey.

yea, your right, it is a reg. key, im already working on getting it to add the key the first time the program starts. This also means that it will need to be updated for Vista's UAC, but that isn't really hard. Actually, i think it already is

I don't know if you want to be completely independent on coding this (If you are, thats great, go for it), but if not maybe you could look at this editors source to see how it does syntax coloring: http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.html.

WARNING: This requires .NET Framework 2. If you use Vista, don't worry, it comes with Framework 3.

EDIT: Now I get this error whenever QDHTML is trying to display HTML page, creating with BOTH methods:
